District Finals will be Sept. 12th at Cyndi's TNT. Exhibitions will start at 3:30pm and Jackpot at 5:00pm. The jackpot is open to anyone who whats to attend but have to be a member to win year end prizes. If you have any questions please call or email me.
Tie breakers:
*Ties for points in the Final standings will be broken by the faster time of the District Finals Jackpot.
*If only one of the members involved in the tie competes at District Finals, they will be declared the winner.
*If neither member competed at District Finals, the contestant earning points at the higher number of jackpots will be deemed the winner.
*If the tie cannot be resolved means a coby any of these in toss will occur.
** Just want to remind everyone that you need to attend 2 NBHA jackpots to qualify for state finals....

September 18 and 19, 2010 – Burdick Arena, Devils Lake, ND
NBHA Member: The North Dakota NBHA State Championships will be held September 18 & 19, 2010 in Devils Lake at the Burdick Indoor Arena.
Qualifications: Members that get two barrel racings in between January 1st, 2010 and September 18th, 2010 may enter. Please contact Lois if you are unsure of your eligibility at 701-652-2413 or 701-307-0467.
All contestants must be a current NBHA member and have proof of membership the day of the show.
Entry Instructions: Entries will be accepted until 1pm on Saturday, September 18th for State Championships. Use one form per person and be sure to include all fees with checks made payable to ND NBHA. Mail to: Connie Buck, 1591 104th St. SE, Minot, ND 58701. Mailed entries should be mailed no later than September 11th to ensure arrival prior to the event. Your entry will not be valid until payment is received. Indicate on the entry form if you DO NOT want your name listed on the website.
Championship Rules:
1. All State Champions will be determined from the average. The Open and Youth classes will be 4-D, the Senior class will be 3-D. A 4-D average will be determined by adding the fast time of the 1st and 2nd Go’s to determine the time brackets for 1-D. To this 1 second will be added for 2-D, 2 seconds for 3-D and 4 seconds for 4-D. A 3-D average will be determine the brackets for 1-D. To this 2 seconds will be added for the 2-D and 4 seconds for the 3-D.
2. NBHA Payout schedule will be used. The division of the purse will be 30% to 1st Go, 30% to 2nd Go and 40% to the average.
3. You may enter as many horses as you wish.
4. Pee-Wee contestants may NOT enter in Youth or Open Classes and must be 12 & under.
5. Entries should be postmarked by September 11th. Entries will be accepted until 1pm September 18th. There will be a fee of $15.00 late charge for the convenience.
6. Horse substitutions will be allowed, but must be declared at check-in and before the start of the 1st Go.
7. No refunds!! (unless, you have a Vet release prior to the Finals) No RIDER substitutions.
8. All contestants must check-in Saturday, September 18th between 11 am & 1pm.
9. Prizes will be awarded to the State Champion & Reserve Champions for the Open and Youth Classes and the top 1 in each division for the Senior Class. Prizes must be picked up. All checks will be mailed.
10. The 2nd Go will be run in reverse order of the 1st Go.
11. Any contestant that loses a hat during the run will be charged $5.00, payable at the end of that class.
12. To help maintain the ground conditions, please refer to the attached arena schedule. A $50 fine will be assessed for anyone using the main arena if not scheduled. Barrels, trash cans, cones and such things are not allowed.
13. All advertising must have the approval of the ND NBHA State Director.
14. NBHA Rules apply. Any questions or disputes that may arise will be settled by the State Director, whose decision will be final.

Stalls:
There are stalls and pens available at Lake Region Livestock in Devils Lake 701-662-2223. Other stalls available at Sheryl James 662-8282 and Karma Senger 662-6789. They are first come first serve. Horses are not allowed to be tied overnight.
Concessions: There will be concessions at the Burdick Arena.
The Host Motel will be the Fireside Inn & Suites Motel 662-6760. Ask for the NBHA discount! There will be a reception at the Fireside Inn & Suites and we will be serving food and beverages and hour and a half following Saturday’s Barrel Race. Everyone welcome!
